Ranked fourth, this veteran team features Antonio Medanore, a phenomenon who is rumored to have even greater potential than Germany's Jürgen Borisovich Volk. However, as he had to undergo surgery last year, his true strength is still a mystery. Living up to their name as one of the big 4, Spain has soundly defeated their opponents so far and advanced to the quarterfinals.

While they were ranked fifth initially, they dropped to no. 7 in the world after their Pre-WC match against Australia. England went on to finish first in group G of the Group League, but their revival was short-lived as France defeated them handily in the first round of the Finals Tournament.

South Africa was one of the most unlucky teams of the tournament, having to face Germany not only in the Group League, where their captain lost to Tezuka Kunimitsu, but once more right away in the first round of the Finals Tournament.

Aramenoma

Aramenoma

A newly founded religious country[1]. After an unremarkable showing in the Pre-WC, Aramenoma emerged at the top of their group in the Group League, defeating even the eighth seed, Belgium, along the way. One peculiarity was that each of those matches ended with a score of 3-2 in Aramenoma's favor.

Their primary form of offense is a mysterious song that drives their opponents mad. Even Momoshiro Takeshi was affected as he attempted to scout them. He was only saved by Oshitari Yuushi stepping in, who remained unaffected after sealing his heart. To take revenge for Momoshiro, Echizen Ryouma and Tooyama Kintarou ambushed the Aramenoma team at night and took them out, causing all members to return to their country before the official match against Japan.

Tube Republic

Tube Republic

A relatively young country, established only thirty years ago[2]. While they are ranked lowest out of all the teams participating in the world cup, they had a reputation for being a strong tennis nation before they gained independence. They were unable to live up to that reputation, however, first losing to America in the Pre-WC and then to Germany and South Africa in the Group League.

Tube members are musicians and prone to putting on performances during their matches. They do not mind playing dirty either if it is for the sake of achieving victory, as demonstrated by them locking up the members of the US team in their locker room before the Pre-WC, hoping to win by default, or disrupting the opponent during matches. However, their plans were thwarted by Ryouma.

Their language makes extensive use of the sounds 'pa', 'pe', 'pi', 'po', and 'pu'.

 1. In the Q&A section of New Prince of Tennis vol. 23.5, Konomi revealed that he was originally going to make them aliens.
 2. Just as the country name and the names of the players, this is a reference to the Japanese band Tube.
