Iron Wall Defense is a play style.
Utilizing their outstanding court coverage, users defend against the opponent's attacks while waiting for an opening to counter-attack. This forces the opponent to take greater risks and drains their stamina faster. Considered to be the strongest general play style[1].
Variations
Nezumi Hana-BEAT: An Iron Wall Defense that makes use of efficient direction changes to chase down any ball at full speed.
Wonder Castle: The user's defense centers around net play. In doubles, if the opponent tries to break through the user's defense with a lob, the user blocks the opponent's line of sight, giving them less time to react to the user's partner's next shot.
