Wirbeltaufe is an offensive shot with a vortex spin. It can also be used as serve.
The strong vortex spin on the ball applies a rotational force to the string of the opponent's racket upon impact. This causes the racket to spin vertically, something the human wrist is weak against. As a result, if the opponent's physical strength is not high enough, they will not be able to hold on to their racket[1].
