One-footed Split Step is a movement technique. It is a variant of the split step.
Just like when performing a split step, the user jumps before and lands as the opponent hits the ball. Unlike in the regular version, the user only lands on one foot in this variant. As a result, their speed increases by about one-and-a-half steps as opposed to half a step.
However, because the user decides on which direction the opponent is going to hit in and picks the foot to land on ahead of time, anticipating the wrong shot will result in moving away from the ball instead.
