Fuji Shuusuke (不二 周助(ふじ しゅうすけ)) is a 3rd year student at Seigaku and is recognized and given the title "tensai", or genius, by the tennis players due to his incredible skills on the tennis court. He usually takes the position of Singles 2, and Singles 1 (when Tezuka Kunimitsu was in rehabilitation), although sometimes he is paired with Kawamura Takashi or Kikumaru Eiji (Dream Pair) in Doubles to compensate for their lack of strength in doubles pair. He is one of the very few 3rd year middle schoolers who was born on the year 1994 (he is the only leap year baby) while the rest are born on 1993. Though Fuji is considered as Seigaku's No. 2, next to Tezuka Kunimitsu, Chitose Senri voiced out his opinion that between the two, Fuji is more frightening and a threat. He and Tezuka are usually seen side by side together, and (along with Ooishi Shuuichirou) seems to be the only one who is genuinely close to the captain.
